Undo four nuts to lift off cylinder head and barrel. Examine barrel for scoring then try a poston ring in the upper and lower parts of bore to determine amount of wear |

Remove screws and tap cases aparted. Note the piston must be replaced the ight way - it is marked "S" for exaust. With a soft ended hammer gently tap out crankshaft |

The four-speed gear clluster is very sturdy and should shown no wear - providing it well lubricated. Remove circlip and washer from secondary shaft to set gear free |
